Research Colony Manager
Amr received his Bachelor of Veterinary Science from Zagazig University, Egypt. He later joined the Unit for Laboratory Animal Medicine (ULAM) at the University of Michigan in 2018, where he gained extensive experience in laboratory animal husbandry and care. Amr went on to work in several cancer research laboratories, where he focused on mouse colony management. He joined the Kaczorowski Lab in June 2026 as a Research Specialist and Colony Manager, where he manages the lab’s mouse colonies and supports ongoing research activities.
Outside of work, Amr enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and exploring the world, embracing new challenges, and making new memories along the way. He also enjoys being a handyman and taking on projects that allow him to build, fix, and create.
