We are looking for talented and Postdoctoral Scholars (Research Fellows).
The Kaczorowski lab at the University of Michigan is recruiting post-doctoral scholars to study the synaptic architecture and function of hippocampal and cortical cell types including circuit level computations that promote the cognitive resilience to Alzheimer's disease and related neurodegenerative dementias.
The successful candidate will be able to plan, develop, execute, and analyze an independent research project in the context of a supportive lab and institutional environment.
The Laboratory of Dr. Catherine Kaczorowski is seeking a highly organized and skilled research laboratory specialist (associate-lead) in genetic mechanisms that promote resilience to AD at the cellular level. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for performing patch-seq experiments using brain slice electrophysiology and cell culture models to measure intrinsic and synaptic plasticity in mice resilient to developing cognitive deficits despite harboring causal mutations (see Neuner et al., 2019, Neuron).
A full-time research technician position is available in the Kaczorowski lab in the Department of Neurology at the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Michigan Kaczorowski Lab (umich.edu). We are seeking a laboratory technician with experience in rodent handling and molecular biology techniques to work on several exciting projects involving rodent modeling of neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer’s disease and Huntington’s disease. Multiple positions are available and candidates with diverse skill sets are encouraged to apply.
