Undergraduate Researcher

Hello, my name is Andre Son. I'm a current undergraduate student at the University of Michigan, majoring in Biomolecular Science. I joined the Kazczorowski Lab as an Undergraduate Research Assistant as a part of UROP in December 2025. I am interested in metabolic pathways that regulate cell function and replication, and am currently researching the effects of GlyNAC on the GSR pathway alongside my mentor. My long-term goals are to head to Medical School and hopefully specialize in Oncology, where I wish to do more research on cell functions/pathways. I am very thankful for the Kaczorowski Lab for allowing me to get such an early start on being able to research topics that I find interesting, and also grateful for the caring and compassionate team environment that this lab provides.
In my free time I enjoy cooking/baking, playing games, and listening to music.
