Research Laboratory Tech
andmyers@umich.edu
I started as an undergraduate research technician in the Kaczorowski lab while completing dual BS degree in Neuroscience and Gender & Health. Since graduating in May 2025, I have continued in lab as a research technician, working on a largescale forward genetics Huntington's mouse study. My deep interests in both neurodegenerative diseases and neuropsychiatric disorders intersect in my current role where I focus on using machine learning approaches to measure complex mood-relevant behavioral phenotypes and identifying genetic factors which drive resilience to these symptoms. My overall goal is to attend medical school and continue pursuing scientific research throughout my training and future career. I hope to have the opportunity to provide compassionate care to individuals living with neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric disorders, while remaining dedicated to continuous learning as a physician. I’m excited to contribute to research that may improve lives and to build a career where science, compassion, and lifelong growth go hand in hand.
