I have been a part of the Patch-Sequencing team here in the Kaczorowski Lab since May 2024. Patch-Seq is an exciting form of slice electrophysiology in which functional intrinsic properties, structural cell morphology, and transcriptomic data are all acquired from a single cell. I use this technique to reveal mechanisms of cognitive resilience and susceptibility in mouse models of disease and aging. Understanding how disease and aging disrupt neural circuits is critical to achieve the ultimate goal of developing life-changing therapeutics.
I graduated from Michigan State University with a B.S. in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics and have extensive technical experience in the field of neuroscience here at U-M.
When I’m not in lab, my wife and I are likely chasing our two young boys around Ann Arbor. I love watching and playing sports, traveling, and exploring all the fun things the state of Michigan has to offer.
